[:ja]欧州宇宙機関ESAが2013年に発表した、オゾン層の季節変動です。オゾン層は固定的なものと誤解されますが、動画でもわかる通り、北半球の春4月頃に最大化、秋10月頃に最小化します。
ちなみに、オゾン層は地表から10~50km上空に広がっており、北半球ではオホーツク海上空、南半球では南極海上空など、高緯度地域で多く、赤道付近は少なくなっています。気象庁のわかりやすい説明が参考になります。
一方、今年6月にマサチューセッツ工科大学が、近年オゾン層が回復しつつある兆候があるとの研究結果を発表しました。地球規模の問題も、人間が努力すれば解決するという例ではないでしょうか。
