[Earthview Wonders] No.1013: Gaspé, Canada🇨🇦
Astronaut David Saint-Jacques captured from ISS Gaspe, Quebec, Canada.

Gaspé is a city at the tip of the Gaspé Peninsula, eastern Quebec in Canada, in the Gulf of St. Lawrence. Gaspé is where Jacques Cartier took possession of New France (now part of Canada) in the name of François I of France on July 24, 1534. French is the first language learnt by most of Gaspé’s population where nearly 90% of the population is French Canadian. The main rivers draining to the bay are the Dartmouth River and the York River (the latter one has its mouth in the city center of Gaspé).
The local scenery on the ground is as follows.
