[Earthview Wonders] No.1031: Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington DC🇺🇸
Astronaut Christina Koch captured from ISS Philedelphia, Baltimore, Washington DC, the large cities of east coast, U.S.

July 4th is the Independence Day of the United States, and the founding fathers met in Philadelphia, debated, composed, and signed the documents that would become the blueprints of the American government, “the Declaration of Independence.” In 1682, William Penn, an English Quaker, founded the city to serve as capital of the Pennsylvania Colony, and today Philadelphia is the sixth-most populous city in the United States. Baltimore is another historic city of the country. The Battle of Baltimore against the British in 1814 inspired the composition of the USA’s national anthem, “The Star-Spangled Banner,” and the construction of the Battle Monument which became the city’s official emblem. A distinctive local culture started to take shape, and a unique skyline peppered with churches and monuments developed.
The local scenery on the ground is as follows.
