[:ja]クリス・キャシディ宇宙飛行士がISSから撮影した日食です。日食は太陽と月と地球が一直線上に並び、地球から見て、太陽の一部が月に隠れる現象で、日本国内ではおよそ半年ぶりに各地で観測されました。インドや中国などでは太陽が指輪のような形に見える「金環日食」になりました。

Astronaut Chris Cassidy captured from ISS the dynamic shadow of the Moon cast over the Earth during Solar Ecplise. Solar eclipses occur when the moon, passing between Earth and the sun, is not quite close enough to our planet to obscure sunlight, leaving a part of the Sun visible. They happen every year or two, and can be seen from a narrow pathway across the planet.
