ギリシャの地理はヨーロッパの南東端にあり、アジアおよびアフリカの交差点にあります。ギリシャの国土は4つの地方に分かれています。国土の約2割を占めるエーゲ海を中心とした島嶼、この画像にもある南部のペロポネソス半島、国土の西海岸線に沿った形で南北に伸びるギリシャ最大のピンドス山脈、古代の都市国家を含む中央ギリシャです。画像からもわかりますが、国土の80％は山岳地帯であり、オリンポス山は2,917メートルで同国最高峰で、平原からそびえ立ち、山頂に雪を帯びたオリンポス山の姿は古代から神聖視されてきました。

Situated on the southern tip of the Balkan Peninsula, Greece is located at the crossroads of Europe, Asia, and Africa. As can be recognized from the image, Greece has the longest coastline on the Mediterranean Basin and the 11th longest coastline in the world, featuring many islands, of which 227 are inhabited. 80% of Greece is mountainous, with Mount Olympus being the highest peak at 2,918m. Greece is considered the cradle of Western civilization, being the birthplace of democracy, Western philosophy, Western literature, historiography, political science, major scientific and mathematical principles, Western drama and the Olympic Games.
The local scenery on the ground of Santorini and the Aegean Sea is as follows.
