[:ja]NASAの地球観測衛星Suomi NPPが捉えた、アラビア海の砂嵐です。

例年、アラビア海では夏に海から陸に風が吹き、冬には逆転します。画像が撮影された10月末はちょうどその気象現象の端境期に当たりますが、この日は、北東風がパキスタンやイランの陸地の砂を海に流しています。

Over Arabian Sea winds blow from the sea toward land in summer and it reverses in winter. October is the time of weather pattern transition, but this day northeasterly winds blew dust plumes oof the coast of Iran and Pakistan.
