[:ja]NASAの地球観測衛星Aquaが撮影したイベリア半島、スペインの大雪です。
2021年1月7~9日にかけて、スペインのあるイベリア半島では数十年ぶりの大雪となり、特に中部地方で交通が混乱しました。首都マドリードでは50年ぶりの大雪となりました。この大雪は暴風雨フィロメナ（Filomena）がもたらした異常気象によるものと考えられています。この猛吹雪で交通も大きく混乱しており、全国で約400の道路が影響を受け、数百台の車両が雪に阻まれて立ち往生しました。その後、首都マドリードの東にあるモリナ・デ・アラゴンとテルエルでは、1月11日夜から翌朝にかけ気温がマイナス25度を記録し、少なくとも過去20年の最低を更新しました。

NASA’s Aqua satellite captured the heavy snow in Spain.
On Jan. 7-9, Storm Filomena has blanketed the Iberian Peninsula and major area of Spain in heavy snow, causing the half of the country on red alert. The most intense blizzard in the last 50 years has disrupted the road, rail and air travel. Madrid, one of the worst affected areas, saw 20cm of snow. The heavy snow was followed by a severe drop in temperature, turning accumulated snow into ice in many parts of the country. The temperature fell to as low as -25ºC in Guadalajara.
