[Earthview Wonders] No.124: Pio XI Glacier, Chile
Pio XI Glacier, also known as Brüggen Glacier, captured by Landsat-8 satellite is shown at the lower left hand corner, just south of Lake Greve. Pio XI Glacier is located in Bernardo O’Higgins National Park and is the longest in southern hemisphere outside Antarctica. It has still been advancing north and south.

Patagonia is known for its low temperature and strong winds throughout the year, and in the western side of the Andes Mountains stretches glaciers and fjord.
