[:ja]NASAの地球観測衛星Terraが撮影したタイの洪水の様子です。
タイでは9月から大雨が続き各地で洪水が発生しており、これまでに9人が死亡したほか、浸水した建物がおよそ30万軒に上るなど被害が拡大しています。2011年の大洪水から10年が経過しましたが、治水計画は幾度も白紙になり放水路整備は早くて5年後と言われており、日系企業の集積地であるタイのサプライチェーン（供給網）が寸断するリスクは高いままとなっています。2011年の大規模な洪水は、雨期に入った7月ごろからの記録的な豪雨が主因で、800人を超す死者と4兆円超の規模の被害を引き起こしました。

NASA’s Terra satellite captured the floods over Thailand.
Around 300,000 houses have been affected by the Sept-Oct. 2021 flooding and 9 people are reported to have lost their lives. Nearly one million people across Thailand are struggling to cope with devastating floods that have submerged large areas in more than a third of the country. Persistent rain in mid-October 2021 brought more flooding to central and northeastern Thailand, where rivers and reservoirs were already running high. According to the Thai government, 32 of the country’s 76 provinces have been affected by flooding during a monsoon season that has brought heavy rains for nearly a month.
