[:ja]宇宙飛行士がISSから撮影したタンザニアのオルドイニョレンガイ火山です。
オルドイニョ・レンガイは東アフリカのグレート・リフト・ヴァレーの火山系の一部で、東リフトヴァレーにあり、現在も活動中の活火山です。地元のマサイ族の言葉で「オルドイニョ」は「山」、「レンガイ」は「神」、「神の山」を意味します。世界中のほとんどの溶岩はケイ酸塩鉱物が豊富なのに対し、オルドイニョ・レンガイの溶岩は希少なナトリウムとカリウムの炭酸塩鉱物であるニエレレアイトとグレゴライトが豊富で、この異常な組成のため、溶岩は比較的低い温度（500-600℃）で噴出します。

Astronaut on board ISS captured Ol Doinyo Lengai, Tanzania.
Ol Doinyo Lengai (Oldoinyo Lengai), “Mountain of God” in the Maasai language, is an active volcano located in the Gregory Rift, south of Lake Natron within the Arusha Region of Tanzania, Africa. Whereas most lavas are rich in silicate minerals, the lava of Ol Doinyo Lengai is a carbonatite. It is rich in the rare sodium and potassium carbonates, nyerereite and gregoryite. Due to this unusual composition, the lava erupts at relatively low temperatures of approximately 510°C.
