[:ja]シェーン・キンブロー宇宙飛行士がISSから撮影したメキシコ湾の風、波、サングリントによって造られた模様です。サングリントは太陽光が穏やかな海面で反射した時に形成される現象で、太陽光が水面に対しほぼ鉛直に反射する鏡面反射が起こっています。

[Earthview Wonders] No.1513: Sunglint at Gulf of Mexico

Astronaut Shane Kimbrough captured from ISS an amazing pattern created by wind, wave and sunglint at the Gulf of Mexico. Sunglint is a phenomenon that occurs when sunlight reflects off the surface of the ocean at the same angle that a satellite or other sensor is viewing the surface.
