[:ja]メーガン・マッカーサー宇宙飛行士がISSから撮影した米ワイオミング州のグランドテートン国立公園です。
グランド・ティトン国立公園は、ワイオミング州西部、イエローストーン国立公園の南に位置するアメリカ合衆国の国立公園で、ティトン山脈の最高峰、標高4,197mのグランド・ティトンに因んでいます。アイダホ州側から山脈をみて、les trois tétons（レ・トロワ・テトン、三つの乳首）と呼んだフランス人の猟師によって名づけられました。1929年2月26日に国立公園に指定されました。ロッキー山脈の一部で、南北に延びるティトン山脈は、ジャクソン・ホールの底から前衛の山もなく長さ65km、幅11～15kmの活断層系地塊山地前面に沿って隆起しています。また、1953年のアメリカ合衆国の西部劇映画「シェーン」の撮影地としても有名です。

Astronaut Megan McArthur captured from ISS Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming, U.S.
The park includes the major peaks of the 64km Teton Range as well as most of the northern sections of the valley known as Jackson Hole. Grand Teton National Park is only 16km south of Yellowstone National Park. Along with surrounding national forests, these three protected areas constitute the almost 73,000km2 Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, one of the world’s largest intact mid-latitude temperate ecosystems. It is also famous for being the location where “Shane,” a 1953 American Technicolor Western movie starring Alan Ladd, Jean Arthur and Van Heflin, was filmed.
