[:ja]トーマス・ペスケット宇宙飛行士が撮影した🇲🇽メキシコのバハ・カリフォルニア半島です。アメリカと勘違いしてしまいそうになりますが、この半島はメキシコの一州で、北のティファナから南のサンルカス岬まで長さはおよそ1250kmもあります。
衛星画像からもわかりますが、この半島は乾燥した気候帯に属し年間降水量は300mm以下です。陸地には不毛ともいえるサボテンの半砂漠が広がります。

Astronaut Thomas Pesquet captured 🇲🇽Mexico’s Baja California Peninsula. This peninsula extends about 1,250km from Tijuana in the north to Cabo San Lucas in the south.
As can be recognized from the satellite image, the peninsula is very dry with annual precipitation less than 300mm. While mostly mountainous, cactus desert expands on the peninsula.
