[:ja]地球観測衛星Landsat 8が撮影した冬のカザフスタン🇰🇿、カスピ海の傍のイサタイ付近の砂丘です。
耕作地が国土の8%程度しかないカザフスタンでは、近年砂漠化が進行しており、イスタイ付近ではそれが顕著です。その影響もあり、厳寒のカザフスタンの冬は一面の雪に覆われますが、雪の上に砂丘が現れるという現象が起きています。

Landsat 8 satellite captured the sand dunes in Isatay of Kazakhstan🇰🇿, near Caspian Sea.
Kazakhstan has only 8% of arable land and desertification has escalated in recent years, especially near Istay. Because of this, even in winter sand dunes top the snowland in some areas as seen in this image.
Despite different location, combination of snow and sand dunes look like this.
