[:ja]米NASAの地球観測衛星Landsat 8が捉えた、中国・チベット自治区のプマユムツォ湖（普莫雍錯）です。冬の間、湖の大部分が凍り付きます。
プマユムツォ湖（普莫雍錯）はチベットの首都ラサから南西に210キロ離れたロダク県（洛扎県）にあり、天上の聖湖と呼ばれています。面積880km2、標高5100mで、標高5000m以上の湖では世界でも最も大きい湖です。
地上の様子はこちらです。村人が凍った湖の上で羊の群れを移動させています。

NASA’s Landsat 8 satellite captured Lake Puma Yumco of Tibet Autonomous Region, China. A large area of the lake gets frozen during winter.
Lake Puma Yumco is located at 5,100m above mean sea level on the southern Tibetan Plateau and covers an area of 880 km2. It is the largest lake over 5,000m among those above sea level.
The local scenery on the ground is as follows. A villager leads a herd of sheep on the frozen Puma Yumco Lake.
