[:ja]トーマス・ペスケット宇宙飛行士がISSから撮影した南アフリカのケープタウンです。ケープタウンは人口370万人超のアフリカ有数の世界都市で、オランダの東インド会社が補給港建設を計画し、1652年に建設されました。ヨハネスブルグやダーバンが成長するまでは南アフリカ最大の都市でした。
ケープ半島北部に約3kmに亘り山頂がほぼ平坦なテーブルマウンテンは国立公園に指定されています。テーブルマウンテンも見える地上の様子はこちらです。
