トーマス・ペスケット宇宙飛行士がISSから撮影した大西洋に浮かぶポルトガル領マデイラ島のフンシャル空港（マデイラ空港）です。独特の地形から、アプローチが最も難しい空港の一つです。
マデイラ最大の都市フンシャルにあることから、非公式的にフンシャル空港と呼ばれていましたが、2017年3月29日より、同島出身のサッカーのファンタジスタ、クリスティアーノ・ロナウドにちなんだ「クリスティアーノ・ロナウド・マデイラ国際空港」に改称されました。

The airport is named after its location Funchal City, and from March 29, 2017, its name is changed to Christiano Ronaldo Madeira Airport who is the soccer fantasista from Madeira Island.
