[:ja]トマ・ペスケ宇宙飛行士がISSから撮影したブラジルのフロリアノポリスです。フロリアノポリスは画像のヘルシリオ・ルス橋の右（東）側のサンタカタリーナ島と周辺の小島で一つの都市を形成しています。橋の西側はサン・ジョゼです。
フロリアノポリスは人口40万人程度で、ブラジルでは50番程度の規模ですが、2014年にニューズウィーク誌で『最もダイナミックな10都市』の一つに選ばれました。18世紀半ばの建設当初はアゾレス諸島出身のポルトガル人が多く入植し、その後ドイツ系とイタリア系移民が入ってきて、強い影響を受けました。白い砂浜を持つことから、観光客に人気の都市です。

Astronaut Thomas Pesquet captured from ISS Florianopolis of Brazil. Florianopolis is composed of main Santa Catarina Island shown to the right of Hercilio Luz Bridge in the satellite image, a continental part and surrounding small islands. The area left of the bridge is San Jose.
Florianopolis with 400,000 population is only about 50th largest city in Brazil, but was selected “The Ten Most Dynaic Cities” by Newsweek in 2014. Immigrants started to develop the city in the mid-18th century, mostly with the arrival of Portuguese colonists from the Azores Islands, followed by Germans and Italians.
