台風5号は非常に強い勢力を維持しながら、日本の南を北西に進んでいます。小笠原諸島では、この先もしばらくしけが続く見込みで、南西諸島から北日本の太平洋側でも、うねりを伴った高波に注意が必要です。5号は2日18時時点で中心気圧は945ヘクトパスカル、中心付近の最大風速は45メートルです。
2日（水）午前3時現在、1時間に10キロの速さで北西に進んでいます。中心の気圧は940ヘクトパスカル、中心付近の最大瞬間風速は65メートルです。
ひまわり8号から撮影した動画はこちらですが、非常に奇妙な動きをしています。

Astronaut Jack Fischer captured from ISS Typhoon Noru. Typhoon Noru could deliver a potentially destructive hit to southern Japan by this weekend, concluding a long and strange journey that the tropical cyclone has already made through the western Pacific Ocean.
Noru was equivalent in strength to a Category 2 hurricane as of Aug. 2 and is approaching Okinawa.
From the video captured by Himawari 8, the Japanese satellite, it is clear that Noru has taken a weird route.
