Swaziland is located in southern Africa and is surrounded by Mozambique and South Africa. The country’s climate and topography are diverse, ranging from a cool and mountainous highveld to a hot and dry lowveld.

The Middleveld, lying at an average 700m above sea level is the most densely populated region of Swaziland with a lower rainfall than the mountains. The Lowveld, at around 250 m, is less populated than other areas and presents a typical African bush country of thorn trees and grasslands.
