[:ja]Planet Labsの衛星が撮影した中米ニカラグアのモモトンボ火山です。左右対称の均整のとれた姿をしており、ニカラグアのシンボル的存在として、マッチ箱の表紙絵から革命的な壁画にいたるまで様々な場所に用いられています。
モモトンボは19世紀～20世紀初頭に10度噴火しましたが、1905年以降沈黙を守り、110年ぶりに再び2015年に噴火し、溶岩や火山灰、噴煙がすぐそばのマナグア湖に降り注ぎました。

Planet Labs captured Momotombo Volcano of Nicaragua. Momotombo is very symmetrical, and its form is a symbol of Nicaragua, cropping up in locations from matchboxes to revolutionary murals.
The volcano erupted 10 times between 1849 and 1905, slept for a century and re-erupted in 2015, spitting lava and a huge plume of ash and smoke over nearby Lake Managua.
