ゲシュム島はペルシャ湾のホルムズ海峡上に位置し、本土とはクラレンス海峡によって隔てられています。本土と島の北西部の間には広大なマングローブ林があり、重要な自然保護区域に指定されています。

Qeshm (Kishm) is an Iranian island in the Strait of Hormuz, separated from the mainland by the Clarence Strait in the Persian Gulf. Between the mainland and Qeshm Island lie the Mangrove or Hara forests, “Hara Protected Area”, representing an important ecological resource.
