チリは西部の太平洋との海岸線、東部のアンデス山脈、北部のアタカマ砂漠によって囲まれた国土は南北に細長く、北から南までの総延長は約4,630kmに及びます。

A long and narrow coastal Southern Cone country on the west side of the Andes Mountains, Chile stretches over 4,300km north to south, but only 350km at its widest point east to west. This encompasses a remarkable variety of climates and landscapes.
