[:ja]スコット・ティングル宇宙飛行士がISSから撮影した地球の大気の向こうにある月です。

ISSは高度400kmの軌道ですが、巻雲や積乱雲はせいぜい10km強ですから、40分の1程度です。また、対流圏は10~13km程度、成層圏が50km程度まであるので、画像からもなんとなくわかりますが、大気の厚さの方があることがわかります。

ISS’ orbit is approximately 400km while cirrus clouds rise up to 10-13km at the highest (one fortieth). As can be recognized from the image, the thickness of the atmosphere is clear, with troposphere up to 10-13km and stratosphere up to 50km at the highest.
