[:ja]今週最初の投稿はセルゲイ・リャザンスキー宇宙飛行士がISSから撮影したフランス領ポリネシアのフハヒネ島です。
フアヒネ島は、フランス領ポリネシアに属する人口は6千人強の島です。画像からもわかりますが、フアヒネ島は北のフアヒネ・ヌイ（大フアヒネ）島（画像左側）と、南のフアヒネ・イティ（小フアヒネ）（画像右側）とに分かれており、両島の間は砂州でつながっています。リーワード諸島に属し、フランス領ポリネシアの主島であるタヒチ島はここから南東170kmの地点にあります。西洋文明としては、1769年にクック船長が初めてフアヒネ島に上陸しました。

This week starts out with beautiful southern Huahine Island, French Polynesia, captured by
Astronaut Sergey Ryazansky onboard ISS.
Huahine is an island with 6,300 population in French Polynesia, part of the Leeward Islands group. As can be recognized from the image, Huahine Nui (Big Huahine) lies to the north and Huahine Iti (Little Huahine) to the south, and the two islands are separated by a few hundred meters of water and joined by a sandspit at low tide. Captain Cook arrived fare Harbour in 1769.
