[:ja]リッキー・アーノルド宇宙飛行士がISSから撮影したハワイ島のキラウエア火山の噴火です。
5月3日にマグニチュード5の地震が起こった後、米国ハワイ島・キラウエア火山麓の住宅地で発生した噴火では、溶岩を噴出する割れ目で地面が南北に裂けるように広がっています。地面を押し広げながら地下からマグマが上昇している可能性があるとされています。火口一帯にあるハワイ火山国立公園は無期限で全面閉鎖となり、周辺の住民約2千人が避難していています。

Astronaut Ricky Arnold captured from ISS the eruption of Kilauea Volcano, Hawaii.
On May 3 Kilauea Volcano erupted dramatically, several hours after a magnitude-5.0 quake struck the Big Island. The eruption spewed lava into residential subdivisions in the Puna district of the Big Island, prompting mandatory evacuations of the Leilani Estates and Lanipuna Gardens subdivisions, affecting 2,000 people.
