[:ja]ISSから撮影された、ヒール高めの長靴イタリア半島です。
中央部分はアペニン山脈ですが、半島は山がちであることがわかります。画像の右上の方の平原は、このアペニン山脈と北のアルプス山脈に囲まれたパダーナ平原です。また、東側のアドリア海の青色も印象的です。
圧倒的にイタリアの存在感が大きいですが、この半島には、イタリア、サンマリノ、バチカンの3ヵ国が存在しています。

Apennine Mountains occupy a large part of the peninsula. Seen on the upper right-hand corner is Padana Plain or Po Valley, surrounded by Apennine Mountains and Alps Mountains on the north. Blue color of Adrean Sea on the east is beautiful as well.
Just to note, there are three countries on this peninsula, Italy, San Marino and Vatican.
