[:ja]アレックス・ゲルスト宇宙飛行士がISSから撮影した、地球越しの月です。地球の大気層の主要な厚さは成層圏によるものですが、これは地上から50km程度です。画像からは大気層が厚いように見えますが、地球の半径6371kmに対して0.8%にしかならないほど薄いものです。

Astronaut Alex Gerst captured from ISS the Moon over Earth. The main part of Earth’s atmosphere is due to stratosphere which extends to 50km. From the image atmosphere looks thick but it only accounts for 0.8% of the Earth’s radius 6,371km.
