[:ja]NASAの地球観測衛星Terraが撮影したヨーロッパの熱波の影響がわかる1枚です。記録を塗り替える高気温により、ESAによればこの1ヶ月で欧州が茶色くなったと報告されていますが、これは高温により、本来この時期に緑に繁茂しているべき植物が枯れていることによるものです。

NASA’s Terra satellite captured Europe turning brown. A persistent heatwave has been lingering over parts of Europe, setting record high temperatures and turning typically green landscapes to brown. According to the ESA, these regions turned brown in just a month, during which several countries experienced record high temperatures and low precipitation.
