[:ja]リッキー・アーノルド宇宙飛行士がISSから撮影した、ジンバブエとザンビアの国境にあるビクトリアの滝です。
植民地の歴史で、この滝は当時のイギリス女王の名 Victoriaを冠して「Victoria Falls」と呼ばれるようになりましたが、現在、ジンバブエにおいては「ヴィクトリアフォールズ」、ザンビアにおいてはモーシ・オワ・トゥーニャ（Mosi-oa-Tunya、「雷鳴のする水煙」という意味）が公式名称です。落差と幅の両面から見た滝の規模としては、イグアスの滝と並んで世界最大で、ナイアガラの滝もこの2つと較べると半分程度の大きさです。

Astronaut Ricky Arnold captured from ISS Victoria Falls, a waterfall in southern Africa on the Zambezi River at the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe.
While it is neither the highest nor the widest waterfall in the world, Victoria Falls is classified as the largest, based on its combined width of 1,708m and height of 108m, resulting in the world’s largest sheet of falling water. Victoria Falls is roughly twice the height of North America’s Niagara Falls and well over twice the width of its Horseshoe Falls. In height and width Victoria Falls is rivalled only by Argentina and Brazil’s Iguazu Falls.
