[:ja]今週最後の投稿は、国際宇宙ステーションISSから撮影したカナダ南東部のセントローレンス湾の夜明けです。ISSが米マサチューセッツ州上空から北方を捉えたもので、太陽光が水面に鏡面反射するサングリント（sunglint）と呼ばれる現象が夜明けを美しいものにしています。
セントローレンス湾はカナダ南東部に位置する湾で、セントローレンス川を経由して五大湖から大西洋への湖水の出口です。ここに注ぐセントローレンス川の河口は世界最大の規模で、大西洋と工業地帯である五大湖周辺を結ぶ重要な航路でもあります。タイセイヨウサケやマス類、カラフトシシャモをはじめ、セントローレンス川水系がもたらす有機物や微生物などの豊富な栄養素により、豊かな漁場となっています。

This week ends with the beautiful sunrise of Gulf of Saint Lawrence, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Quebec, Canada. This photo was captured from International Space Station ISS flying over Massachusetts and sunglint makes it more beautiful.
The Gulf of Saint Lawrence is the outlet of the North American Great Lakes via the Saint Lawrence River into the Atlantic Ocean. Besides the Saint Lawrence River itself, many significant streams empty into the gulf. The gulf has provided a historically important marine fishery for various First Nations that have lived on its shores for millennia and used its waters for transportation.
