[:ja]NASAの地球観測衛星Landsat 8が撮影した韓国の釜山です。

釜山は人口350万人を擁する韓国第2の都市で、古くから朝鮮半島と日本とを結ぶ港湾都市として栄えてきました。世界第6位の港湾を持つ都市として海運業が大きく、43ものバース(着岸所)を持ちます。また、展示会開催地としても有名で、10月にはアジア最大の釜山国際映画祭をはじめ様々なイベントが年中催されます。

With 3.5 million population, Busan is the 2nd largest city in Korea, a maritime logistics hub in Northeast Asia with its world-class mega ports, and a gateway to the Eurasian continent. As the 6th largest port in the world, Busan Port’s container terminal has 43 berths. In addition, Busan is the city of festivals and film. A variety of festivals are held in the city throughout the year such as the Busan International Film Festival, the largest film festival in Asia.
