[:ja]木星探査機ジュノーが8月27日に木星に最接近し、上空約4200kmを通過したとの発表がありました。ジュノーは2011年8月5日に打ち上げられましたが、出発から約3週間後の8月27日（今から5年前）に撮影された、地球と月です。
撮影は木星に向かって地球から1,000万km離れた場所からでしたが、わかりやすい換算をすると、地球－月の距離が38万kmなので、その26倍離れた場所から、ということになります。
地球も月も光の点になるほどの距離とはイメージしづらいですが、広大でロマンがありますね。

On Aug. 26, NASA announced Jupiter probe Juno flew to within 4,200km of Jupiter. Juno departed Earth on Aug. 5, 2011 and this epic Earth-Moon photo was taken just 3 weeks after launch, on Aug. 27 (5 years ago from today).
The photo capture point was 10 million km from Earth which is approximately 26 times Earth-Moon distance of 380,000 km.
It is hard to imagine the distance from which Earth and Moon turns to mere light dots, it guides us to realize the vastness of the universe.
