モスクワは、中央にあるクレムリンから同心円状に広がっている町です。画像からもわかりますが、クレムリンからは全ての方角に放射状に幹線道路が延び、3つの環状道路があります。市の中心をモスクワ川が蛇行しながら流れます。また、モスクワ市の人口は約1250万人でヨーロッパで最大の都市です。モスクワ都市圏のGDPは世界10位の経済規模で、ヨーロッパではロンドン都市圏、パリ都市圏に次ぐ3位となっています。

Moscow with 12.5 million population is the 3rd largest in Europe, and is a major political, economic, cultural, and scientific center of Russia and Eastern Europe. With Kremlin at the center of the city, Moscow’s roads are outward spanning with 3 concentric roads. Moskva River winds through the city as can be seen in the image. The city is also well known for its architecture, particularly its historic buildings such as Saint Basil’s Cathedral with its colorful architectural style. With over 40% of its territory covered by greenery, it is one of the greenest capitals and major cities in Europe and the world.
