[:ja]今週は初代地球画像から。50年前の1966年8月23日、月探査船ルナ・オービター1号が、月の周回軌道から初めて地球を映しました。当時のカメラの性能は今のものとは比較になりませんが、見事に月越しの地球をとらえています。
ルナ・オービター計画は、アポロ計画のための月の地図作成を目的として、米国が1966年から1967年に行った無人月探査機計画です。ルナ・オービター1号は1966年8月10日に打ち上げられ、月周回16周目にこの画像を撮影しました。

This week starts out with oldest earthview photos. Aug. 23, 2016 marks the 50th anniversary of the capture of first earth-from-moon photo from Lunar Orbiter 1. The camera then is in no comparison with today’s advanced ones but it still captured an epoch, iconic figure of the Earth.
Lunar Orbiter Program was a series of five unmanned lunar orbiter missions launched by the U.S. from 1966 through 1967, intended to map Moon’s surface for subsequent Apollo missions. Lunar Orbiter 1 captured this photo during its 16th orbit on Aug.23, 1966.
