パキスタン南部のアラビア海に面する潟で、バソル川が注ぎます。この地域は貧しく、唯一存在する資源である海産物に依存する漁業が盛んです。約2千人の人口の95%が漁業に従事しているとされています。

Astronaut Sergey Ryazansky captured from ISS Khor Kalmat, a lagoon along the Makran coast of Balochistan, Pakistan.
The Basol River drains into the Khor Kalmat lagoon. In recent times, it has gained attention for being the locality where the Pakistan Navy plans to build a base, known as the Kalmat Naval Base. People are living below the poverty line and thus dependence on natural resources mainly fishery has increased. The population of Kalmat area is about 2,000 and about 95% of the population is engaged in fishing activities.
