Prayers to those who lost lives in the terrorist attack in Christchurch on March 15.
Astronaut Alex Gerst captured from ISS Christchurch, New Zealand.

Christchurch with 400,000 residents is the largest city in the South Island of New Zealand and the seat of the Canterbury Region. The Avon River flows through the centre of the city, with an urban park located along its banks. The large number of public parks and well-developed residential gardens with many trees has given Christchurch the name of The Garden City. Agriculture is the historic mainstay of Christchurch’s economy. The early presence of the University of Canterbury and the heritage of the city’s academic institutions in association with local businesses has fostered a number of technology-based industries.
It is hard to imagine such a tragic incident took place in this beautiful city.
The local scenery on the ground is as follows.
