[:ja]デービッド・サンジャック宇宙飛行士がISSから撮影したカナダのプリンスエドワード島です。
プリンス・エドワード島は、カナダの東海岸、セントローレンス湾に浮かぶ島で、カナダの州の1つ（プリンスエドワードアイランド州）でもあります。カナダの州の中では面積、人口共に最も小さいですが、愛媛県とほぼ同じ広さ（東京都の約3倍）があり、小さな島ではありません。気候は温暖。土地は赤土で肥沃で、画像の通り、赤い部分が顕著に確認できます。この島の特産はジャガイモですが、それ以上に「赤毛のアン」シリーズを書いたL・M・モンゴメリが住んでいた島として名高いです。

Astronaut David Saint-Jacques captured from ISS the Prince Edward Island (PEI).
Prince Edward Island (PEI) is a province of Canada consisting of the Atlantic island of the same name along with several much smaller islands nearby. According to the 2016 census, the province of PEI has 142,907 residents. Part of the traditional lands of the Mi’kmaq, it became a British colony in the 1700s and was federated into Canada as a province in 1873. The author Lucy Maud Montgomery drew inspiration from the land during the late Victorian Era for the setting of her classic novel Anne of Green Gables (1908). Today, many of the same qualities that Montgomery and others found in the island are enjoyed by tourists who visit year-round.
