[:ja]セルゲイ・リャザンスキー宇宙飛行士がISSから撮影したインドネシアのブロモ山です。
ブロモ山は、インドネシアのジャワ島東部、マランの北東約30kmに位置する標高2,329mの活動が活発な火山です。テンガー・カルデラの中央火口丘を構成し、Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park内に位置します。ブロモ山の隣にある円錐台形のバトー山（Batok）はスコリア丘であり、このカルデラ火山で最も新しい火山です。スラバヤから日帰り観光も可能です。

Mt. Bromo is an active volcano and part of the Tengger massif, in East Java, Indonesia. At 2,329m it is not the highest peak of the massif, but is the most well known. The massif area is one of the most visited tourist attractions in East Java, Indonesia. The volcano belongs to the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park. The name of Bromo derived from Javanese pronunciation of Brahma, the Hindu creator god. Mt. Bromo sits in the middle of a plain called the “Sea of Sand”, a protected nature reserve since 1919.
