[:ja]クリスティーナ・コッシュ宇宙飛行士がISSから撮影した米ニューヨークです。ニューヨークは1790年以来、同国最大の都市であり、市域人口は800万人を超え、広域都市圏人口では2000万人以上です。画像からは、セントラルパークの緑の長方形や、アッパーベイ付近の船の往来がよくわかります。
マンハッタンのセントラル・パークは、フレデリック・ロー・オルムステッドとカルヴァート・ヴォークスによって設計され、毎年3000万人が訪れ、アメリカで最も来訪者の多い都市公園です。セントラル・パークの大部分は天然のものに見えますが、実は、ほとんどすべて造園されたものです。また、公園には固有の野生生物がおり、特に春・秋には、渡り鳥のオアシスとなっています。

Central Park is the most visited urban park in the country and one of the most filmed locations in the world, with 40 million visitors in 2013. The park has unique wild life and is the oasis for migrating birds especially in Spring and Fall.
