[:ja]9月22日に、米自治領プエルトリコの発電所で火災が発生し、島の大半が停電に見舞われ、150万人に影響が出ていますが、NASAの地球観測衛星Suomi NPPが撮影した画像です。
停電前の画像はこちら。煌々と灯りがついています。
火災は、プエルトリコの電力公社AEEが運用する南のアギーレ発電所で起きました。こうして見ると、相当範囲が暗くなっていることがわかります。

On Sept. 22, massive blackout took place in Puerto Rico, affecting 1.5 million people on the island. NASA’s Suomi NPP satellite captured the nighttime images before and after the outage.
This is the photo before the outage, with apparent distribution of lights all over the island.
The fire occurred at the Aguirre Power Plant on the southern end of the island. As can be seen from the photo, major part of the island turned black.
