[:ja]NASAの地球観測衛星Landsat 8が撮影した中国、羅平県の菜の花畑です。
毎年2月中旬に、中国南部の羅平県で咲き誇る黄色い菜の花畑です。3月中旬には、菜の花の黄色の花が失われ、また緑の葉に戻ります。菜の花からは食用及び食品加工用に使用される菜種油が採取されます。主要生産国は中国、ドイツ、カナダとなっています。

NASA’s Landsat 8 satellite captured beautiful yellow field of canola flowers in Luoping County, China.
In mid-February each year, yellow field spreads through the valleys of Luoping County in southern China. It is the short-lived but lovely bloom of canola flowers. By mid-March, the flowers fade and green reasserts itself over the landscape.
