NASA’s Aqua satellite captured the wildfire spread in Los Angeles, U.S.

Wildfires which started on Jan. 7, 2025, continued to rage out of control in the Los Angeles area, killing several people, injuring many, and triggering evacuation orders for tens of thousands. The first wildfire erupted has become one of the most destructive in recent memory. Several are spreading rapidly over large areas, fueled by extremely dry conditions and powerful winds called “Santa Ana” which reached 160km/h in some areas.
The local scenery on the ground is as follows.
