Bengaluru is located in southern India on the Deccan Plateau at 920m above sea level, and with cool climate, the city is famous for its reputation as the “Garden City of India”. Bengaluru has 8.5 million population, making it the third most populous city in India. Following India’s independence in 1947, encouragement of defense industry took place in the city and after the Economic Liberation in India in 1991, tech base in the city boosted the growth of ICT industry as well. Today Bangalore is called “the Silicon Valley of India”.
