Astronaut Takuya Onishi captured from ISS Manicouagan Crater, Quebec, Canada.

The Manicouagan Crater is a multiple-ring structure about 100km across, and is one of the oldest known impact craters. It was caused by the impact of a 5km diameter asteroid about 215.5 million years ago, in the Upper Triassic. It is the earth’s fifth largest confirmed impact crater. Near the center of the lake lies Manicouagan Reservoir (Lake Manicouagan), an annular lake covering an area of 1,942km2. The lake island in its center is known as René-Levasseur Island, and its highest point is Mount Babel.
The local scenery on the ground is as follows.
