Bordeaux, Southwestern France, is a world capital of wine, with its castles and vineyards of the Bordeaux region that stand on the hillsides of the Gironde and is home to the world’s main wine fair, Vinexpo. The major reason for the success of winemaking in the Bordeaux region is an excellent environment for growing vines. The geological foundation of the region is limestone, leading to a soil structure that is heavy in calcium. The Gironde estuary dominates the regions along with its tributaries, the Garonne and the Dordogne rivers, and together irrigate the land and provide an Atlantic Climate, also known as an oceanic climate, for the region. In June 2007, the Port of the Moon in historic Bordeux were inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, for its outstanding architecture and urban ensemble and in recognition of Bordeux’s international ijmportance over the last 2000 years.

The local scenery on the ground is as follows.
