[:ja]9月22日にNASAの小惑星探査衛星OSIRIS-RExが地球でスイングバイを行う際、17,000kmの距離から探査機に搭載されているカメラMapCamで撮影された地球です。太平洋が中心に写っています。
OSIRIS-RExはNASAがアリゾナ大学月惑星研究所などと共同開発している小惑星ベンヌからのサンプルリターンを目的とした宇宙探査機です。ベンヌ到達は2018年、地球への帰還は2023年の予定です。

[Earthview Wonders] No.346: Earth from OSIRIS-REx
On Sept. 22, NASA’s OSIRIS-REx sample-return spacecraft captured the Earth from 170,000km with MapCam camera. The image has a large area of the Pacific Ocean.
OSIRIS-REx is NASA’s mission to explore near-earth asteroid Bennu, collect a sample, and return it to Earth. The spacecraft will reach Bennu in 2018 and is scheduled to return to Earth in 2023.
