[Earthview Wonders] No.10: White Sand Dunes
Lencois Maranhenses National Park taken by astronaut Jeff Williams in ISS. The park shows a series of crescent moon shape patterns.

The scenery on the ground is beautiful with large, white, sweeping dunes made of silica which reflects sunlight and looks white. During the rainy season from January to June, fresh water collects and creates “lagoons” and even tiger fish in the valleys.

It is interesting to observe a certain object from both macro and micro perspective.[:en]Lencois Maranhenses National Park taken by astronaut Jeff Williams in ISS. The park shows a series of crescent moon shape patterns.
