[:ja]金井宣茂宇宙飛行士がISSから撮影した地球とオリオン座です。ISSには天頂方向に窓がなく、地球側の窓から見るので、地平線が必ず見えるようになっています。

ちなみに、オリオン座はギリシャ神話に登場する、海神ポセイドーンの子の狩人ですが、中央の三つ星を中心に明るい星が多く有名な星座です。シリウスはベルトのラインを南東へ拡張することによって見つかり、ベテルギウスとプロキオンの3つの1等星で、冬の大三角を形成します。
