[:ja]デービッド・サンジャック宇宙飛行士がISSから撮影したカナリア諸島のテイデ火山です。
テイデ山は、カナリア諸島のテネリフェ島にある、スペイン領内最高峰に当たる火山です。テイデ山とその周辺は「テイデ国立公園」になっており、2007年にはユネスコの世界遺産に登録されました。海抜の標高は3,718メートルで、近海の海底からの高さはおよそ7,500メートルであり、スペイン領内最高峰であるとともに、大西洋の島にある山としても最高峰です。噴火を繰り返してきた歴史と人口密集地に近いことから、国際火山学地球内部化学会によって、テイデ山は将来起こりうる自然災害に備えるための緊密な研究が要請される防災十年火山（Decade Volcanoes) のひとつに指定されていました。

Mount Teide is a volcano on Tenerife in the Canary Islands, Spain. Its summit at 3,718m is the highest point in Spain and the highest point above sea level in the islands of the Atlantic. Teide is an active volcano: its most recent eruption occurred in 1909 from the El Chinyero vent on the northwestern Santiago rift. The volcano and its surroundings comprise Teide National Park, which has an area of 18,900 hectares and was named a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2007.
